A Short ViBiS's History
My Road To Web Development With TYPO3
Professionally
ViBiS started in 2000 as a part time self-employed company and a linchpin in a network of ICT professionals, with the purpose to build beautiful and high quality websites. My name is Vincent, graduate in law at Leiden University, art painter, programmer, web designer, web tech professional, and founder of ViBiS, working from the heart of Amsterdam.
Code & Content
That year I exchanged high-tech firm Ericsson where I worked as a Software Engineer and team leader, for MeesPierson that soon merged into Fortisbank. I got involved in their first website project and so technique and content became one for me. In 2005 ViBiS became fully operational and it took my full effort since then.
Digital Career
From a simple computer program that counts the beats per minute of dance records to fully functional Flash websites. It all lead to the discovery of TYPO3 and today I am still working with that wonderful system to create highly professional, meaningful, outstanding websites and great applications.
Different Territories And Competencies
Apps
ViBiS has developed iOS gaming and business apps. And even before the smartphone we created applications for mobile phones.
Other CMSes
WordPress and other systems have had our interest, but we have put them aside. It is a matter of quality and specialization, and we chose TYPO3 CMS.
Future Technique
Nowadays ViBiS has focus on Blockchain and NFTs. One of our running projects is about NFT creation and marketing. Next to that, ViBiS's interest goes to design and advanced image services as part of art projects.
The Company Today
Amsterdam City Center
ViBiS landed in Amsterdam in 2018 after years residing a bit more up north. The work studio is near Amsterdam Centraal.
